Friends , family and customers walking into the store would always remember being greeted with a smile, his smile could light up a room. He was the epitome of a hard working man. He would wake up to his one cup of coffee in the morning and end with one more in the evening. He loved his candy mints, caramel and Abba- Zaba. He loved camping, fishing and his getaways with his wife to Vegas. He loved his keno and never failed to get lucky. Alfred was known more so as grandpa, he had eight grandchildren and Seven great- grandchildren which he all had nick- names for. He would always share memories of his life, which we will cherish forever.
Alfred went home April 8, 2020
God saw him getting tired, and a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around him
And whispered “come to me”
With tearful eyes , we watched him suffer
And saw him slowly fade away.
Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best
His family will always feel him near, and his smile forever imprinted in our memory.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness...”
