Obituary

Long-time Lemoore resident, Dana Dwayne Reynolds, 65, passed away surrounded by his family on February 27, 2020 in Modesto, CA following a recent illness.

Dana was born on February 3, 1955 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island to Charles Franklin Reynolds and Margaret Kathleen Reynolds. Dana graduated from Lemoore High School in 1973. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force actively serving from 1977 – 1980 as a Security Specialist. After leaving the service, he worked as a security guard until his retirement.

In his younger adult years, Dana was involved as a leader in the Royal Rangers program, a ministry to boys through the Assembly of God Church. Dana enjoyed researching his genealogy, and spent many hours tracing his family’s origins. He discovered that one of his ancestors was Rev. Brewster, who sailed to America on the Mayflower. Dana also enjoyed attending events sponsored by the Scottish Society.

Dana is survived by his siblings, Lee Alan Reynolds (wife Leslie) of Hanford, Paul Reynolds of Lemoore, and Beverly Reynolds of San Diego, as well as his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Reynolds, his parents, Charles and Margaret Reynolds, and his brother, David Reynolds.

A Memorial Service will be held for Dana on Thursday, March 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel, 420 West D St., Lemoore, CA. Inurnment with military honors will take place at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, CA on Friday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m.

Ah Dana - sad to hear. The good times we had together on the USS Gallant, Region 4 and SFI (Starfleet International).

Those were the days my friends - we thought they'd never end, those were the days...
