Elaine Costa Mideiros, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021in Hanford. She was one of 14 children born to John & Mary Costa. At the age 23 she married Joe S. Mideiros and they had four children: Susan Ragsdale of Wittmann, AZ, JoAnn Brewster of Lemoore, John (and Sandy) Mideiros of Lemoore and Paula Mideiros of San Diego.
After raising her children she worked at Kings Rehabilitation Workshop for special needs adults until her retirement. She and Joe were active in the Kings County 4-H program for many years. Elaine was an artist and enjoyed painting beautiful oil paintings for family and friends.
Life lessons taught to her children and grandchildren were to love God and follow his teachings and to love everyone regardless of, color, religion or physical/mental limitations and to never judge.
She loved hanging out with her grandchildren and attended many of their activities. She was an avid Raiders fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings and granddaughter Denise.
She is survived by her 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
