Obituary for Francisco Cruz
Francisco Cruz, 92, passed away on July 27, 2021 in his home in Lemoore, surrounded by his family and wife who never left his side.
Francisco was born in Tecomatan, Michoacan, on October 2, 1928.
Francisco first immigrated to the US with the Bracero program in the 1940s. He was a very hard working man, working the land from Washington, Arizona, Texas and the Central Valley. In his healthier days he enjoyed tending his milpa, (his garden) his many goats and calves. His joy was making chicharrones and carnitas for family and friends. Francisco loved fishing. He was a great protector and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife Consuelo Gudiño, grandson Joaquin Hernandez Cruz, six daughters: Lupe, Chuche, Socorro, Carmen, Connie, Ana and a son Alfonso, and dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Francisco was preceded in death by his daughters Rosita Cruz and Maria Elena Cruz and his sons José Luis Cruz and Francisco Cruz.
