Heriberto “Herb” Amaya of El Mirage, Arizona was called home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Hanford on with his family by his side. Heriberto was born in Monterrey, Mexico to Teodoro and Virginia Amaya the family immigrated to California when he was 6 years old. He grew up in Avenal and was a cashier at the Texaco station. Heriberto’s faith in God was strong and after he was sick being able to go to church was still important to him and he made sure to go every week.
Heriberto is survived by his mother Virginia Amaya of Avenal, 6 brothers: Carlos Amaya of Phoenix, AZ, Rodolfo Amaya of El Mirage, AZ, David Amaya of Reno, NV, Jesus Amaya of Reno, NV, Ruben Amaya of Yuma, AZ and Jose Luis Amaya of Lemoore. He was preceded in death by his father Teodoro Amaya and his brother Teodoro Amaya.
Private services will be held for Heriberto with burial at Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.
