Johnie Wilkerson of Stratford, California departed this life on October 15, 2020 at the age of 83 years old. Johnie was born on September 12, 1937 in Naples, Texas and relocated to Stratford.
Johnie was a Transportation Operator for the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Lemoore, California.
Johnie is preceded in death by his partner Juanita (Sweet) Hernandez, his parents, Joe and Mamie Wilkerson, and his sister Melbaline Peason. He is survived by his two sisters Berdie M. Rutherfod of Naples, TX and Mattie Myers of Portland, OR; four children: Willie Moon, Lee Lewis, Katherine Hernandez, and Ricky Hernandez and six grandchildren along with a host of cousins, nieces & nephews.
Johnie will always be remembered for his cooking, fishing, watching Western movies, hanging out with his best pal C.W., and his love for the Boston Celtics and L.A. Dodgers. He will be missed dearly.
