Obituary for Larry MacGinitie
It is with great sadness that the family of Larry MacGinitie announces his passing on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at the age of 84 in Lemoore, California. He was born in Los Angeles, September 25, 1936. He has lived his life mostly in California, with his latter years, Lemoore, California. Larry was a Marine Corps Veteran, serving during the Korean War, as a Rifleman. He served 29 years as a General Motors general assemblyman, building Chevy Camaros & Firebirds.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda, his children and in-laws, Eileen & TJ, and Barbara & Terry, and stepchildren, Rochelle & Dan, and Marilyn. Larry will also be fondly remembered by his 2 grandchildren and in-laws, Allison & Sam and Michael & Marcela, and 2 great grandchildren, Damon and Zoe including but not limited to step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Larry is preceded by death by his wife, Esther, his daughter Laura, and his mother Viola.
The viewing will take place on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 from 9:30am-12:30pm at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel, 420 W. “D” Street, Lemoore, CA 93245, followed by the funeral service in memory of Larry held from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the LDS Church, 800 Hanford-Armona Road, Lemoore, CA 93245.
In accordance with county Covid restrictions, we ask all in attendance to adhere to safety guidelines, including wearing masks, social distancing, and limiting capacity to 10 people at a time.
We do not want anyone to interrupt the time loved ones have to honor and pay respects. We also understand if gathering is not an option for everyone during these uncertain times. In lieu of visitation, flowers maybe accepted at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel, 420 W. “D” Street, Lemoore, CA 93245. Donations are also welcomed to be contributed to the following charities, in his name, ASPCA & Feeding America of the USA.
Interment will follow in the family plot located in Chatsworth, CA, which will take place at a future date.
