Obituary for Marjorie Mae Cooper

Marjorie Mae Cooper (McKean) long time resident of Hanford passed peacefully with her family around her on March 3rd. Marjorie grew up in Hanford, moving her family to San Jose for work and reward eventually returning in 1989 to continue her life with Lester at his family home on 14th and Iona in Hanford. They were married 64 years and he left her way too soon in 2021. She is going to be sorely missed by her 3 children Denise Roberts (Paul) of Roseville California, Mark Cooper of Hanford, and Karol Gibbs (Curtis)of Crosby Texas. Her 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren who all called her Granny will miss her so much especially summers on the Delta swimming, playing cards, jet skiing. Mom loved to give the kids a really special ride on the Tube! As much as we are going to miss seeing her loving her home, gardens, flowers, and all the animals at the farm, we all know she is with Dad and they are still watching over us. A beautiful life and she was the glue that held us together for so long.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 20 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Phipps Dale Funeral Chapel in Lemoore. There will be a memorial service at 11 am on Tuesday March 21 at the Church of Christ 140 Skaggs St in Lemoore followed by an Interment at the Grangeville Cemetary. From there we will return to the Church of Christ for a reception lunch at 1 pm.
