Obituary for Michael Martinez
Michael S. Martinez went home to Heaven on April 6, 2021.
He was at home when he passed. He was battling Alzheimer's, having been diagnosed in June of 2014. He was surrounded by his wife and all of his children, his father and all of his brothers and sisters before he passed.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother Patsy S. Roe Martinez, and great granddaughter Kinsley. Michael is survived by his wife Terrie L. Rose Martinez, his father Richard S Martinez, his brothers and sisters: Deborah Martinez Webb, Marty Martinez, Regina Martinez Toomey, Tim Farpella and Sarah Farpella Hill, his children: Amber Martinez LaPlant, Rena Martinez Kerfoot, Ashlee Martinez, Kerrie Martinez Mullaly, Michael Martinez and Michelle Martinez, as well as three stepchildren: Ryan Kroeber, Haley Kroeber Waddell and Sean Kroeber, and six grandchildren: Jade Stockton, Taylor Stockton, Kia Watson, Kayden(Crash) LaPlant, Billy Baugh and Rylee Mullaly.
He attended elementary schools in the Lemoore area and graduated Lemoore High School in 1977. Before being diagnosed with dementia (later categorized as Alzheimer's), Michael worked for his dad's business, Martinez Hay. He was a mechanic who worked on big trucks, farm machinery and any other vehicle that needed to be fixed. He also built trailers to haul hay. He could fix just about anything. He made a merry-go-round from scratch for the park his mother wanted for all her grandchildren. He was a man who always wanted to help. He loved showing off his cars, especially his two 1969 Camaros. He took home trophies in show for these cars. He was always busy. If he wasn't creating something, then he was cleaning something. We miss him very much, but we know we will see him again.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday, April 22 at 10:00 A.M. at Koinonia Christian Fellowship, 12536 Hanford-Armona Rd, Hanford CA 93230. Reception will follow at Richard S Martinez's house in Lemoore.
