Sally Jane Martin passed on January 2nd. She was a long-time resident of Lemoore, California. She was a widow who had been in a long-term marriage to Jimmy Martin. A hairdresser for much of her adult life, Sally eventually opened her own hair styling salon in Lemoore. Before retiring, Sally spent many years as a teacher’s aide at Central Elementary School in Lemoore. Known for her outgoing personality and sense of humor, Sally always made everyone feel welcome. She loved spending time with friends and family. She also loved taking a drive over to the coast with good friends for the cooler weather and a favorite, a bowl of clam chowder. An excellent cook, Sally loved having large groups of people over for the holidays and pairing an abundantly savory meal with a friendly after-meal game of poker. A cat lover at heart, she always treasured her cats and made them part of the family.

Sally is survived by her Daughter Karen Rienzo from Bakersfield, Scott Heitzig and his wife Leigh Ann from Visalia, and Shelley Woody who lives in San Marcus. Grandchildren include Ryan Bickhart and his wife Sandra, Morgan Heitzig, Jordan Heitzig, Matteo Rienzo, and Brentt Woody. Great grandchildren are Seth, Benjiman, and Gianna Bickhart. Also, her sister-in-law Pete Teixeira, widow of Sally’s recently deceased brother Alex Teixeira, along with the Teixeira surviving family which includes Jeff Teixeira and his wife Patricia, Janet Unger and her husband Tony, and their combined children and grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, January 23rd at Lemoore Cemetery by invitation only. Flowers are welcome.
